Our Commitment to your Children

To work with children, our clergy, lay ministers, staff, teachers, and anyone who works around children, are required take a course called "Safeguarding God's Children." This program is focused on preventing the abuse of children and youth. It informs participants of the ways predators gain access to and groom children for abuse as well as outlining the safeguards the Church has put in place to protect these children. Safeguarding God’s Children is a three-hour mandatory training for anyone working with children and youth in Episcopal churches, schools and institutions in the Diocese of Texas.
We highly recommend that all adults in the congregation take this course. If you are interested in taking this course, or have any questions, please contact the office at office@ascensionepiscopalchurch.org.
