Sunday Morning Schedule
The nursery is available from 9:30 AM to noon.
All Baptized Christians are invited to receive Holy Communion.
Goal of Worship
You are invited to worship God every Sunday Morning. In worship, our goal is to praise God for the gift of Jesus Christ. We listen, pray, sing, and commune so that our souls will be renewed to serve God throughout the week with joy. The Bible says we, “will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such as these to worship him. (John 4:23 NRSV)
In the Episcopal Worship Style, we use the current Book of Common Prayer (or BCP), The Hymnal 1982 (Episcopal), and the Holy Bible (New Revised Standard Version with the Apocrypha). The form of worship for Sunday morning is "The Holy Eucharist" which consists of two equally important parts namely, "The Word of God," and "The Holy Communion." There are two styles or “Rites” of the Holy Eucharist in Episcopal worship. The Rite I liturgy mirrors the King James version of the Bible, with traditional language. It very closely resembles the communion liturgy from the older, 1928 Book of Common Prayer. The Rite II’s liturgy and language is updated and mimics more modern common speech.
- 8:00 AM Worship- This service is a Rite I Traditional Eucharist Service, without music. The service is spoken and you may follow along in the bulletin, which is prepared from the Book of Common Prayer, available in the pews.
- 9:30 AM Christian Formation - Adult formation is led by our Pastor and takes place in the library. Children's formation for PK4 - high school is on the 2nd floor of Parish Life Building. We finish up at 10:15, in plenty of time for the 10:30 service. To learn more, go to our Sunday School page.
- 10:30 AM Worship - This service is a Rite II Choral Eucharist Service with music. Most of the service is printed in your bulletin. We sing hymns from the 1982 Hymnal (found in the pew) and other Diocesan approved sources.
- 11:45 AM Fellowship- Refreshments are offered by volunteers after the 10:30 AM service.
