Confirmation, Reception, Reaffirmation
You can become a member of Ascension by going through the Get-to-Know Ascension class. Upon completion of the class, become an "official" Episcopalian by going before a Bishop for confirmation or reception.
Ways to join
Confirmation (new profession of faith or joining from a non-apostolic tradition: Non-denominational, baptist, Church of Christ, etc.)
Reception (transfer from an apostolic tradition: Roman Catholic, Lutheran, Orthodox)
Reaffirmation (if you coming from another Episcopalian community or you go before the bishop to celebrate your joining Ascension, but it is not essential. You can email firstname.lastname@example.org to have your letter transferred.
For adults, baptism and confirmation are one in the same. For infants, infant baptism is performed, then confirmation happens later as an older child.
Get-to-know Ascension class timing
We have 2-3 Get-to-know Ascension classes in a calendar year. And a bishop visits us once a year. So, if you come to the 'non-bishop" get-to-know Ascension class that is scheduled, you will become a member of Ascension. And the next time the bishop comes you will be confirmed or received.
Before the class starts, or anytime

Happens once a year for our youth, and is scheduled around the bishop's visit.
